Mauro and chair - Mauro ja nojatuoli

We now have a new chapter to add to Mauro and the chairs. He hardly fits but still likes to try and claim a chair in the living room when we are both sitting in them. At last even I have figured out his trick of pretending to want to go out so that you will get up and he can take your chair. Since that doesn’t work at all on my wife and hardly ever anymore on me, he has changed tactics. A couple of weeks ago, he started coming to me with a bone or one of his toys and kind of dropping it in my lap. I finally realized that he wants to trade one of his valued possessions for the chair. Since he has worked so hard at it and is offering to trade, I usually give him a seat. Of course, after he is through with the chair he wants his bone back. But what the heck. At least he is being nice about it.

Nyt on sitten kirjoitettu uusi luku sarjaamme Mauro ja nojatuolit. Hänestä on tullut niin suuri, ettei hän enää tahdo mahtua yhteenkään niistä, mikä ei suinkaan estä häntä yrittämästä - varsinkaan silloin kun ne ovat varattuja. Viimein olen oivaltanut Mauron konstin nojatuolin valtaamiseen. Hän teeskentelee haluavansa lähteä ulos ja se, joka nojatuolin jättää, sen myöskin menettää. Koska mokoma temppu ei pure vaimooni eikä nykyisin enää minuunkaan, Mauro päätti muuttaa taktiikkaa. Pari viikkoa sitten hän alkoi tipautella luita tai mielileluja syllini. Leikkimenen ei kuitenkaan näyttänyt kiinnostavan, joten jonkin ajan kuluttua älysin, että hän ehdotteli vaihtokauppaa: "Priima luu sinulle, tuoli minulle". Koska hän tapaa äheltää vaihtokauppansa parissa niin innokkaasti, en useinkaan voi olla suostumatta. Tuoliin kyllästyttyään hän tosin haluaa luunsa takaisin, mutta - mitä tuosta - yrittääpähän tuo ainakin olla kohtelias.
